Tourist Visa Requirement

  1. Relevant pages of Passports:
  • Current passport, previous passport/s & a full copy of any previous passport/s.
  • Current passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your intended date of departure from Ireland. (Current passport must have sufficient space for a visa to be inserted; at least two empty pages are required. For short stay visas the current passport must be valid for at least 6 months from date of intended departure from Ireland. For long stay visas current passport must be valid for 12 months from date of entry into Ireland.
  1. Visa Application Form:
  • Fully completed and signed application summary sheet.
  • Applications are made online and full details are available at the following link: https://www.visas.inis.gov.ie/avats/OnlineHome.aspx
  • You must complete the Supplementary Form which is available at https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/india/visas/visa-requirements/ or log on to www.inis.gov.ie
  1. Photograph: Two color passport sized photographs not more than 6 months old.
  2. Photo ID Card/ Business Card: A personal identity card of the applicant such as National ID/Adhar Card/Driving License and business card (Recommended).
  3. Cover Letter: A personal letter from applicant including personal details, purpose of visit and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, the respective visa office and signed.
  4. Invitation Letter from Tour Operator/Trip Itinerary: A Letter of Guarantee/Confir7. med Invitation from a licensed tour operator or travel agency outlining your day to day trip plan, details of the arrangements made and the undertaking on your repatriation.
  5. NOC/LOI:
  • A letter from your employer on the organization’s letter-head pad, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job as per schedule.

If Self-employed:

You must provide documentary evidence of your business/company in the form of:

  • Original hardcopy letter from your company in India outlining your business reason for travelling to Ireland,
  • An original, signed and dated letter of headed paper form your accountant/tax consultant/lawyer,
  • Recent correspondence relating to your self-employment from the Inland Revenue (ITR returns, etc.)
  • A detailed explanation on company’s profile/free lancing work.
  1. Personal Bank Statements: Original Bank Statements (Personal/Payroll) for last 6 months mentioning the Bank’s name, telephone number clearly with authorized bank stamp and signature (e-statement is not acceptable).
  2. Evidence of Other Bank deposits: Copy of other financial documents such as deposit schemes, FDR, Retirement funds, Loan accounts etc.
  3. Personal ITR Certificate: Income Tax Return Certificate for a period of last 3 years (Recommended).
  4. Evidence of fixed assets: An authenticated evaluation document of applicant’s fixed asset/notarized summary of wealth statements (Recommended).
  5. Travel Health Insurance: Evidence of medical/travel insurance does not need to be provided with your application. However, the Visa Officer may request it before they make a decision on your application. If your visa is approved, you must have evidence of medical/travel insurance when you arrive at the port of entry (airport/seaport) and must present it to the Immigration Officer on request.
  6. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A reserved itinerary for your airline ticket as per the schedule of the trip.
  7. Hotel Reservation: A reserved itinerary for your accommodation at a hotel or resort as per the schedule of the trip.
  8. Previous Refusal Letters: If you have been refused a visa in the past for any country, you must provide the details. The original letter issued to you by the authorities of that country must be provided with your application. Full details of previous visa refusals on a separate cover letter.
  9. Other Supporting Documents: If you are a first time traveler OR have never travelled outside of Asia, you will need to complete and sign the Undertaking on Your Return Form and submit this with your application.
