BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENT

All visitors travelling to Namibia for business purposes need a Visa prior to travel. The business visa in Namibia is defined as the Visa issued to people looking for:

  • prospects to set up formal business in Namibia
  • exploratory or fact-finding business missions
  • business people attending meetings at subsidiaries of their parent companies
  • Official government visits
  • Attending conferences, corporate events (not work) and meetings for which no remuneration is received
  • Charities, voluntary and expedition missions
  • Attending short training courses (not more than 90 days)
  • sports events
  • Expositions and trade fairs.
  • Business Invitation letter from the Namibian Companies/Institutions/Agencies required for applicants travelling for business to Namibia along with a letter from the local company giving details about the applicants’ position in the company, purpose of visit, period of stay and undertaking that the company will borne all expenses pertaining his/her visit.

 

  1. Relevant Pages of Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. Copy of passport of applicant first and last page.
  2. Visa Application Form: The visa application must be filled with proper information and signed by the applicant. Please find the visa application form below. Form 3-1/003, an application form for a visitor’s visa should be duly filled in by the applicant in duplicate along with two recent passport-size photographs.
  3. Photograph – Two color photographs.
  4. Cover Letter: A personal letter from applicant including personal details, purpose of visit and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, the respective visa office and signed. Motivation letter from the applicant clearly stating the purpose and duration of visit.
  5. Invitation Letter from a registered company/organization: Original/scanned copy invitation letter from the Irish organization on its letter-head pad stating the purpose of travel, duration of stay and other necessary details with invitee’s signature. Invitation letter from Namibian company. Motivation letter from company/organization.
  6. Forwarding Letter from employer: A letter from the employer on the organization’s letter-head pad stating applicant’s name, designation, passport number, his purpose and assigned roles during the visit, duration of visit, sponsorship status etc. Motivation letter from company/organization. Bank statements (latest three months of company/organization)
  7. Sponsor’s Bank Statements: Original/scanned copy of bank statements from the sponsoring party (invitee/Employer company/any other person) for last 6 months mentioning the Bank’s name, telephone number clearly with authorized bank stamp and signature
  8. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A reserved itinerary for your airline ticket as per the schedule of the trip.
  9. Hotel Reservation: A reserved itinerary for your accommodation at a hotel or resort as per the schedule of the trip. Accommodation (hotel/guest house) booking.

Note: Yellow Fever-Inoculation is a requirement only if the journey to the Republic of Namibia entails passing through the yellow fever area of Africa and/or South and Central America by any other means that by a scheduled air service (The validity of yellow fever certificates begins 10 days after the date of vaccination.)

 

TOURIST VISA REQUIREMENT

  1. Relevant Pages of Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. Copy of passport of applicant first and last page.
  2. Visa Application Form: The visa application must be filled with proper information and signed by the applicant. Please find the visa application form below. Copy of passport of applicant first and last page.
  3. Photograph: Two color photographs.
  4. Cover Letter: A personal letter from applicant including personal details, purpose of visit and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, the respective visa office and signed. Motivation letter from the applicant clearly stating the purpose and duration of visit.
  5. Invitation Letter from Tour Operator/Trip Itinerary: A Letter of Guarantee/Confirmed Invitation from a licensed tour operator or travel agency outlining your day to day trip plan, details of the arrangements made and the undertaking on your repatriation.
  6. NOC/LOI: A letter from your employer on the organization’s letter-head pad, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job as per schedule
  7. Personal Bank Statements: Original Bank Statements (Personal/Payroll) for last 6 months mentioning the Bank’s name, telephone number clearly with authorized bank stamp and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)
  8. Evidence of Other Bank deposits: Copy of other financial documents such as deposit schemes, FDR, Retirement funds, Loan accounts etc.
  9. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A reserved itinerary for your airline ticket as per the schedule of the trip.
  10. Hotel Reservation: A reserved itinerary for your accommodation at a hotel or resort as per the schedule of the trip.

FAMILY VISIT VISA REQUIREMENT

  • Two sets of documents are to be submitted in each case.
  • Application with outstanding documents will not be accepted.
  1. Relevant Pages of Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. Copy of passport of applicant first and last page. Form 3-1/003, an application form for a visitor’s visa should be duly filled in by the applicant in duplicate along with two recent passport-size photographs.
  2. Visa Application Form: The visa application must be filled with proper information and signed by the applicant. Please find the visa application form below.
  3. Photograph – Two color photographs.
  4. Cover Letter: A personal letter from applicant including personal details, purpose of visit and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, the respective visa office and signed. Motivation letter from the applicant clearly stating the purpose and duration of visit.
  5. Invitation Letter from a physical person: Original/scanned copy invitation letter from the Irish host stating the nature of mutual relationship, the purpose of travel, duration of stay, address and other necessary details with invitee’s signature.
  6. Invitee’s photo ID card Copy: A clear scanned copy of photo ID of your invitee/host in the visiting country. (Preferably attested by an legal authenticator)
  7. Personal Bank Statements: Original Bank Statements (Personal/Payroll) for last 6 months mentioning the Bank’s name, telephone number clearly with authorized bank stamp and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)
  8. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A reserved itinerary for your airline ticket as per the schedule of the trip.
  9. Hotel Reservation: A reserved itinerary for your accommodation at a hotel or resort as per the schedule of the trip.
  10. Marriage Certificate: An authenticated/notarized copy of marriage certificate. The certificate must be in English language
